White-Label The Web Interface

The Branding tab in the SHA Settings workspace lets you rebrand the Sendense Hub Appliance web interface with your own identity. You can set a custom brand name, upload separate logos for the dark and light themes, upload a favicon, and choose whether the "Powered by Sendense" attribution badge is shown.

Branding is designed for service providers who present the appliance to their own customers, but it is available to any administrator. Changes apply appliance-wide: every user of that SHA's web interface sees the same branding. The page includes a live preview of the dark-theme sidebar and a one-click reset back to Sendense defaults.

What You Can Customize

Brand name
A free-text name, up to 100 characters, in place of "Sendense". Today it is used as the tooltip and alternative text of the sidebar logo.
Dark theme logo
Shown in the sidebar when the interface is in dark theme. SVG or PNG, up to 2 MB, with 193 x 44 pixels recommended.
Light theme logo
Shown in the sidebar when the interface is in light theme. Same format and size limits as the dark logo. The sidebar switches between your two logos automatically as users change theme.
Favicon
ICO or PNG, up to 2 MB, with 32 x 32 pixels recommended. The favicon is stored with your branding configuration; in the current release the browser tab icon and tab title continue to use the Sendense defaults.
Powered by Sendense badge
A toggle, on by default, that controls the attribution badge at the bottom of the sidebar.

How Changes Apply

Logo and favicon uploads apply immediately - they are not gated on the Save Changes button. Drag and drop a file or use the file picker, use Replace to swap an image, and use Remove to revert an image to the built-in Sendense artwork. The brand name and the attribution badge toggle are different: they only take effect when you click Save Changes, and an unsaved-changes indicator reminds you while edits are pending.

Logo images are cached by browsers for up to an hour, so after you replace a logo, other signed-in users may continue to see the previous image for a short while until their browser refreshes it.

The Live Preview panel on the page mocks the dark-theme sidebar with your current logo and badge setting, including toggle changes you have not saved yet, so you can check the result before committing.

The Attribution Badge

When the "Powered by Sendense" toggle is on, a subtle attribution badge appears at the bottom of the sidebar for every user; when the sidebar is collapsed it shrinks to an icon with a tooltip.

When the toggle is off, the badge is hidden. The toggle also governs whether the contextual Help panel may offer links out to Sendense public documentation; in the current release the Help panel does not show outbound documentation links in either state, so a fully white-labeled appliance never surfaces the Sendense name through help links.

Where Branding Appears - And Where It Does Not

Your logos, brand name, and badge setting apply to the main web interface chrome that every signed-in user sees. Branding also loads before sign-in so the interface can display your identity from startup.

Because branding is visible to anyone who can reach the appliance's sign-in address, treat the brand name and logos as public. Do not put anything sensitive - customer names you have not agreed to disclose, internal references, or contact details - in the brand name.

  • The sign-in page itself always shows the built-in Sendense logo in the current release.
  • The browser tab icon and title are not rebranded yet, even after a favicon upload or brand-name change.

Resetting To Sendense Defaults

The Reset to Defaults button opens a confirmation dialog, then removes all three uploaded images from the appliance, restores the brand name to "Sendense", and turns the attribution badge back on.

Keep your own copies of logo files

Reset to Defaults permanently deletes the uploaded logo and favicon files from the appliance - there is no undo and no version history. Removing an individual logo with its Remove button deletes that file the same way. Keep the original artwork in your own asset library so you can re-upload it later.

Who Can Change Branding

Viewing the Branding tab requires a role with settings read permission; saving changes, uploading or removing images, and resetting all require settings write permission, which administrator roles hold. A user with read-only settings access can open the page, but their save attempts are rejected with an error.

There is one branding configuration per SHA, shared by all users - if two administrators edit it at the same time, the last save wins.
