Why does my controller show Offline?
Offline means heartbeats are not arriving. Here is what it blocks and where to look.

The Short Answer
Controller health is heartbeat-based. Offline means the Sendense control plane is not currently receiving reports from that controller, and syncs to an unreachable controller are blocked until contact resumes.
Where To Look
- Heartbeat versus health: heartbeat says whether contact is arriving; health says whether the controller is ready for work. Check both.
- Confirm the controller VM is powered on in the destination platform.
- Check recovery-site connectivity, including the recovery-site SNA where controller traffic relays through it.
- Use the guided retry or repair action where the GUI offers one; if the controller stays Offline, escalate rather than forcing unrelated operations.
